A Boxing Manager’s Approach

Boxing training is fun. That's my goal for every client. I'm a certified USA Boxing Coach with over 5,000 hours of mitt work training and a professional boxing manager and matchmaker. This gives me a vast repertoire of drills, combinations, and teaching techniques so that everyone can learn - and have a good time doing it! The first half of each session includes some stretching, cardio, balance, and strength training to get your body ready to box. The second half is all boxing whether its shadow boxing, reaction time training, bag work, mitt work, paired drills, or light sparring (only if you want that - it's optional). I tailor each session to you - whatever your conditioning level and boxing skill levels are - that's where we start.

Boxing in the Park is a little different from most boxing training done in traditional boxing gyms. Most boxing is done inside, but I love being outside, so Boxing in the Park just made sense. As the weather allows, I train outside, and I also have a boxing gym option for an extra fee, for more advanced training and inclement weather. Most clients train with me 1x or 2x a week. As part of being a client, I also support your training outside our sessions by setting up cardio jogging/sprinting programs for you with the goal of exercising 3-5x a week. We participate in local runs, mountain bike trips, and paddle canoes and kayaks in the local swamps and bayous. We try to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty that surrounds us. These are all optional, of course, but if you want to physically get out and enjoy SE Louisiana, I can take you there.
